The charm of the older house really comes through with creaking floors that add character to the experience. Having a garden view from the room makes for a relaxing retreat, perfect for quiet mornings.
The air conditioning didn't work in the rooms, which could be an issue in hotter weather. Thankfully, open windows provided a decent breeze. The TV connectivity could use an upgrade to allow streaming services like Netflix, especially for longer stays.

The hotel was located in the center of Cascais. After long day I visited A Prova Real for a couple of drinks. My room included tea/coffee making equipment, a seating area, and a writing desk.
Don’t have any issues at all.

The historic charm of the place really stood out, especially sipping a glass of wine on the terrace in the evenings and enjoying the delicious breakfast they served outdoors. The tranquil gardens provided a perfect escape, complemented by the wonderfully maintained pool area, ideal for relaxation after exploring. Breakfast was a highlight, with delicious typical Portuguese dishes and eggs cooked to order, all enjoyed on the charming terrace. Some rooms could benefit from improved amenities, like upgraded TV connectivity, and staff responsiveness was inconsistent at times, which could affect overall comfort.

great atmosphere but inconsistent amenities
The historic features of the house provided a beautiful backdrop to our stay. Mornings were good with breakfast served on the terrace surrounded by vibrant flowers. The garden view from my room transformed quiet moments into relaxing experiences.
Some amenities felt outdated, particularly the lack of reliable TV connectivity.
